About

Welcome to my blog. I will use this site to share some personal reflections and experience gained working as a clinician and developer in the world of health IT.

My background is in clinical medicine. I started out as working as an emergency doctor and an acute physician. I now work in a hospital specialising in cancer diagnosis and treatment, as a consultant radiologist and associate medical director. I am also the chief clinical information officer (CCIO) and clinical safety officer (CSO).

I have spent an number of years supporting the development of our local electronic patient record (EPR) and digital transformation programme as a clinical lead, systems developer and solutions architect. It has been an interesting and rewarding journey. I look forward to sharing some of it with you through this blog.
